Since my last post I have experimented with many different Web 2.0 technologies including the following:
Boxnet, Cool Text, Mind Tools, Voice Thread, Pageflakes, Teacher Tube, Picassa Web albums.
They are all very interesting & easy to use, I just need time to practice.
Boxnet has solved my problem with the senior wiki because I can now upload more documents.
I think wikis are a great idea for digital portfolios because most of the student work is stored offline.
I am also pretty good at uploading audio, video and other widgets.

I have now learnt how to record in Audacity and to export as MP3 file. This didn't work on the Mac and I discovered I needed additional software to convert the audio file to MP3. Downloaded Lame Lib and this now works.

Flip cameras are great for movie recording. On the Mac you need a converter program Tried DivX Doctor and VLC, both worked well.

Blogging

Guess what I just did? I managed to get my blog on my Google page. Not quite sure how but it worked and that's what counts.
I have found a good website related to web 2.0 called 23 things. Participants work their way through 23 activities learning about and setting up web 2.0 accounts.

So far I have read about lifelong learning and the 7 1/2 habits of lifelong learners.

The hardest thing for me to do will be to create my own learning toolbox because there is so much to learn and storing things is always a problem for me.

Now I am learning to blog.
